A lesson well learnt
Yesterday, I lost my wallet !!!
It had some 15K peso, debit cards etc. I doubted on the room cleaning boys because they were the only one to come inside the room.
I searched each and every corner of room but I did not get my wallet. I told this to Gurudeva. He had NO change of emotion in his face hearing this as if he knew.
He asked “may be its stolen, did you give any tip to the cleaning boys”.
I said “no”.
“You see if you don’t share the money, it gets stolen. Money needs to flow, it should never remain in your bank”.
Earlier I generally used to give very descent tip but this time since my earning is almost nothing I don’t give as much tip as I used to, even though I have and can actually share like before at least for few more months
Sharing the money to right person is one of the tough task though. In all my visit I always watch Gurudeva closely, whom he gives and to whom he does not. One thing I have noticed he never gives money to disabled ones. He says the disabled one have very strong EGO, its better to leave them and let them learn from their Karma. Me too stopped giving money to them. Earlier I used to give them but I realized it was out of pity on them than love.
He generally generously give his hard earned money to people who work but still unable to get enough money for living. He also gives to street children or people who are in very special situation. But it won’t be easy for normal people like us. Here in Angeles City, couple of days back when we were walking some children started asking for money. He gave all the children 100 plus peso except few, whom he told to ask his papa for money. To some even he gave more saying this is for you and your brother or sister. He did not give any money to a girl who is about to reach her young-hood. The day before he told us that sometime just giving money to a girl and smiling at her may lead her to prostitution because they will love the easy money and love and will take the easy root when things go bad.
Few days back, we had been to restaurant for pizza. When we got our Pizza served, he took out few slices of Pizza for take-out. We were talking after finishing food and suddenly he said, “Lets go. someone is hungry.”. On the way back he chose to give the food to a particular girl among many who were standing there.
Sharing to right one is tough for us because its difficult to know who is hungry, who is REALLY needy, who is fake, who is lazy and who really needs to go through that experience. May be all we need is open for god more and more and we will improve. As we do it often we learn to share and to love better day by day.
Well, now lets come back to our story.
Before I finalize what to do next, I thought I will check the restaurant where I had lunch that morning, I had no hope though. Surprisingly, I found my wallet there. The girls there kept my wallet safely. I paid them 500 peso with a hearty thanks. Today, I paid equal amount to the cleaning boys also.
I was very happy not only because I got my wallet back but mainly because I loved the way god taught me to share with whatever I have, instead of keeping those just because I don’t earn much now. Bank is no place to keep the money accumulated when that can create many happiness in some.
