“My son is doing BA in commerce”
It’s been around 8 months now me working as labourer in construction. As of now most of my co-workers know that I am educated. Whenever they ask me how educated I am, I avoid answering it in detail. I simply say I am educated enough or similar.
Since I did not tell them how educated I am, they do guess work. So a group of labourers thought of analyze me how educated I am.
One of them asked “batao mitti ko angreji main ka bolte hain”
I answered “soil”
Hmm one of them observed “baara tak to padhe likhe honge hi”
Second one asked “batao akash ko angreji main ka bolte hain”
“sky”
One of them guessed “Nehin lagta hai BA to pass kiye honge”
Another one asked “batao parbat ko angreji main ka bolte hain”
“mountain”
They confirmed “hmm MA tak to jarur padhe honge” 
Many time they wonder and also advise me why I am working here and not searching for job like jawan(soldier), constable or open a shop etc. My answer to them “mujhe yehi karna hai” (I need to do this)
Today, a new co-worker asked me the same question how educated I am. I replied I am educated enough. Then he added “honours tak padhe ho ka”. Probably he has heard this honours thing from his son who is studying in college. I asked him how educated his son is.
He replied “BA padh raha hai”.
“kaunse subject main?”
“Commerce main BA kar raha hai”

A person is educated enough when that person knows how to survive without employer, without government, without banks, without social welfare. When the person knows how to support a family without employer, when the person knows how to feed his family, grow food in his own garden or fields, when he knows how to keep his family healthy without doctor, when he can fix his home or even build his home with his best friends without bank, without mortgage and construction company – then he has learned to be free and to enjoy freedom.When a person can do all work needed in an entire healthy and loving society. When a person appreciates the work done by others, then a person is educated enough.
Until then we all learn, until then we all one day this incarnation or later incarnation somehow have to keep on learning until we are strong enough to survive in freedom, until we have learned to be lover amidst lovers, a giving, shring and contributing source of joy FOR this world.
