Work Update…

Sorry for not blogging for long time…

Work is going on. Its not as tough as it used to be initially. But I get bored if I have to do same thing for long time. I prefer do different kind of work in intervals.

The work here may get finished by feb end. Good for me because I don’t have to look for another job in ice cold winter.

Currently I am working with laborers from Nepal called Mate. They are hard working and powerful. In mountains where you don’t have the rikshas etc. Mate are the only means to shift loads of things up and down. They charge higher than other laborers. Even then they are in full demand. It’s not easy always to get a Mate for your work. The other two type of laborers you find here are Bihari – labor from UP and Bihar and Pahadi – the localites, mostly from neighboring villages. I also have observed that the Pahadi laborers are more educated than other laborers but they are the laziest among all laborers. Pahadi laborer are the least preferred one, they generally come along with Pahadi mistry (mason) to raise stone walls which is common in mountains. The Bihari mistry and laborer are known for thier technique in making houses and buildings.

I feel like taking some vacation of week and move around the places. But I cant there are works to be done. Once the work slows down I may take fews days off to visit country side and do some trekking.

cool bhaiya never had so much insight on laborers!! Well its true Biharis are said to be very efficient in mistri work n all… i donno about paharis, who are quite efficient in driving cars here in metros but they are said to be very loyal in terms of money n all whereas Biharis are quite concerned about money! and if u donot give money they tend to stop work.. this is due to personal experience i have given explanations!!
