Construction work update

Its been more than six weeks here working as a construction laborer. I have become stronger – stronger in work, stronger in conviction and stronger in body, stronger in mind and should have become stronger in spirit also. As of now the realization is that I need to work even more months than I thought before.

Unlike my last profession, here I love day-off very much and I always look for it. I generally work five days per week, my other colleagues take no off unless there is no work. They say “Kaam jab mili raha hai to kahe chutti lain” (when there is work available why should we take off from work).

Initially the work contractor and mason were not happy with my work. They used to say “mehnati to hain lekin kaam nehi jaante hain” (he is hard working but does not know the techniques of work). However now they are all happy.

Your colleagues are right, as long as there is work, there should be ZERO day off. work needs to be done, farmers work each and every day of there entire life – because people eat every day all life. city people love to have a home 7 days a week all life long – hnece construction workers produce 7 days a week a ll life long.
God works eternally – every secons – billions of years and much more … eternally. because we all love to enjoy to live every day.
now you are a student worker
as a total novice you should be grateful to be ALLOWED to do useful work and to be accepted amidst real workers as a trainee.
after 5-10 years of real work, you may receive a day off or earn your right to make a weekend off AFTER all work done ….
now its time to start working, to learn and to grow stronger to be really useful in life.
one day ALL office / IT workers will have to learn to do real work. you are lucky to have that chance NOW, later might be much harder than now.
people who take off lose contact to the project, taking a day off while others work means abandoning your colleagues who offered you a once in a lifetime chance to grow up and learn to be useful.
in many other countries we PAY to receive such honor to be trained and educated in working.
